Sustainable thinking has become part of our routine. Day after day, society is able to better understand the importance of preserving the environment and the natural resources it provides us with.
Because we live on a planet of finite resources and recognize that our relationship with the environment must respect all living beings that inhabit it, it is our duty as individuals and as an enterprise to adopt sustainable processes in our daily lives.
Far beyond punctual actions, it is our responsibility to work and act in an environmentally friendly way, both inside and outside our homes, employing micro and macro sustainable actions that think about the present and the future.
Knowing this commitment, we at Courovale do not only respect the environmental regulations and perform the conscious management of our water and energy supply, but we also have some projects in the environmental field.
As an external initiative and thinking about the next generations we participate in the “Arborizar” Project, which has already been responsible for the planting of thousands of trees, that in the next few years will absorb hundreds of tons of carbon from the atmosphere, beautifying and improving the quality of life in the cities of the region.
But we cannot think only about the future and leave aside those who need help the most in the present. Therefore, we are proud to present the “Reciclar Para Presentear” action, an initiative of our company that takes place in our city.
The “Reciclar Para Presentear” action consists of the gathering of recyclable material by our employees during the whole year. This way thousands of cans, lids, PET bottles, and other recyclable materials are stored and sold during the year to recycling cooperatives, where these products will be reused.
In this way, all the money raised from the sale of this material is converted into the purchase of food baskets and Christmas presents for socially vulnerable families in our community. In 2022, this project will be in its second year, and besides making our employees aware of the importance of sustainable measures, it also ensures that several needy families can have a Christmas full of joy.
